It’s in the game. Literally. Nike and EA sports have teamed up for the second year running, giving the Nike Hypervenom 3 With Fifa 18 landing in stores worldwide at the end of the month, EA has jumped at the opportunity to merge their virtual vision with actual gameplay.
A staggering statistic that EA threw our way this past week, is that for ever minute of professional football played in the premier league this season, 26,000 hours of FIFA will be played around the world. Who’d have thought?
You don't truly understand the positive impact of FIFA until you've had a 12-year-old Spanish student called Marco living in your house for a fortnight, and the only way you can avoid long awkward silences is by playing FIFA every evening while he batters you repeatedly with Real Madrid.
Can't help but think we've swayed off track. Ah yes, the boot, that's why we're here. Have a peek at how it'll look on FIFA 18, before we explain more about the design.
The graphic treatment on the upper is a nod to Real Player Motion Technology, which was leveraged for the first time in creating the 2018 version of the game. The motion capture wireframe graphics highlight the strike zone of the boot, which features a reflective Swoosh. There's also reflective branding on the heel, where a graphic inspired by the iconic EA power bar is depicted. Additional EA touches appear on the sock liner, lace aglets, and shoebox.
Each pair of the Nike X EA Sports Hypervenom 3 boots is individually numbered and limited to 3000 pairs, you’ll have to be quick if you plan on grabbing a pair of these!
