There is a certain undeniable truth that the Germans have always played well and have always looked good doing it. Today, adidas does its part to continue that legacy by releasing a new look for the German national team rooted in its gloried past, yet guaranteed to be a winning look on and off the pitch in the present. Set to be debuted against Italy on November 15th, the new Germany jersey replicates the geometric print of the team’s classic away look at the 1990 World Cup. Found on the front body and along the cuffs, the fanciful print is accompanied by symbols of national pride such as a German flag trimming woven into the shirt’s v-neck collar and “Die Mannschaft” (“The Team”) inscribed below its back collar. The traditional look is capped off by adidas three stripes which make a return to their classic shoulder placement.
Perhaps one of the best jersey releases of the year!
